Dear Colleagues,
Much like you, AIPT is keeping a watchful eye on the swine flu situation in Mexico and reported cases in other countries, and will post relevant information to our website as well as emailing individuals to keep our constituents informed.
It would be helpful if you could inform us at AIPT if you become aware of any participant concerns, or precautions taken by countries or host companies so that we can be prepared to respond to concerns that might arise.
By way of resources, below are links to the Center for Disease Control with the most current information and health advisories. We have also attached a link to the Department of State's website to make everyone aware of any travel advisories that are in place. If there are any specific concerns, please feel free to contact us aipt@aipt.org or 800-994-2443.
We would also like to post the CDC's recommendations for avoiding illness.
CDC recommends, first and most important: wash your hands. Try to stay in good general health. Get plenty of sleep, be physically active, manage your stress, drink plenty of fluids, and eat nutritious food. Try not to touch surfaces that may be contaminated with the flu virus. Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
