The U.S. national capital, Washington, D.C., is a city that makes history. Visitors come from all over the world to take in the national treasures of this unique city. Tour the Smithsonian museums, the Capitol, the White House, the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial and hundreds of other interactive attractions. The international flair of Washington is also reflected in its neighborhoods and cuisine. Washington is all easily accessible by air, train or bus to all major destinations in the U.S.

The English language center is located on the campus of beautiful and historic American University, a prestigious school in Northwest Washington, and is a short distance from the federal district.

This Center housing requires a housing reservation deposit of $200 per session for each session ELS reserves a space in Student Residence (off-campus). Each paid housing deposit will be applied towards the student residence fee each session. If a student cancels with fewer than 28 days’ notice, ELS will retain up to a maximum of two sessions of housing deposit.

The housing facilities are a twenty minutes Metro ride from the ELS campus.  The male and female housing are located near the Library of Congress and are right across the street from each other.  Students will be able to see the Capitol Building from the street!  Both dorms are quite charming!
